At Archbishop Temple School we have four houses, Canterbury, Durham, Winchester and York. All pupils and staff are a member of a house. Tutor groups are arranged within each house  Pupils have assemblies in their house, and many school activities and competitions are house based. If a pupil already has a relative at the school when they join Archbishop Temple School they go into the same house, if they wish. Each house has its own colour (Canterbury is black, Durham is blue, Winchester is red and York is yellow) and each house selects a charity each year to  focus its fundraising efforts. House points are awarded for effort and contribution to the school, and these points go towards the House competition. The winning house each year gets a special day out to celebrate.
