Last week, pupils were invited to decorate their form room doors to celebrate Advent. By the end of the week, pupils could explain the meaning of Advent and why we celebrate it as Christians. The doors are to be judged by Mr Catlow, Headteacher. Points he is looking at are:

  • Creativity

  • Participation from the members of the form

  • Relevance to Advent

  • Inclusion of our school vision and motto (Faith, Nurture and Service)

  • Reference to our school scripture (Matthew 5: 14-16)

  • Sustainability

  • Originality

You can view our school scripture and the form room doors below. Don't they look lovely?

School scripture

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5: 14-16
