Congratulations to the winners of the library’s Christmas writing competition. The competition, which was launched at the beginning of December, proved very popular.

“The standard was really high,” said Mr Nightingale, Teacher of English and competition judge. “And I’m pleased to say that the winning entries captured the Christmas spirit.”

“Since the Christmas writing competition ran, lots of pupils have been asking me about running another writing competition,” said Mrs Dearden, school librarian. “It is really encouraging to hear pupils wanting to get involved. I will certainly be launching another writing competition later this year.”

The winning entrants received a copy of The Guinness Book of Records 2019 or a book of their choice. Well done to Alyssa in year 7, Sophie in year 9 and Daniel in year 10.
