The school book fair in the library has proved very popular over the past two weeks. At break and lunchtimes pupils have been able to browse books and select one, or more, to buy. Parents/carers then pay for the book online via Scopay.
"Holding the book fair is important as it encourages pupils who wouldn't usually come to the library, to come along, browse and if they wish buy something they can keep at home," said Mrs Dearden, School Librarian. "As well as lots of brilliant book titles to choose from, there is also lots of lovely stationery for sale, which pupils can buy with pocket money."
"Buying a book at the book fair also helps the library, as a certain percentage of the sales can be spent on new books for the library. The more we sell, the more we raise for the school library."
The book fair has been extended by a week and will run up until school finished for the Easter Holidays.
