Word of the Week - Abdicate

Each week Mrs Baybutt, Lead Practitioner in Literacy and Vocabulary, presents a Word of the Week, explaining what the word means, where it came from, how the word could be used in a sentence, synonyms for the word and the word family. This week the word is 'abdicate'. 

Madame Bergon will be linking the Word of the Week with the equivalent words in Spanish and French. All of the words are presented every morning in form and used throughout the school day in lessons.
