National Concert Band Festival

On Sunday 20th November the Junior and Senior Concert Bands will be taking part in the Regional Round of the National Concert Band Festival. The North West regionals are held in Oldham this year. Bands do not compete against each other, instead they are adjudicated against a set criteria receiving a bronze, silver, gold or platinum award. Junior Concert Band is in the Junior Band category which has a 14 years age limit. The Senior band will take part in the School’s Wind Band Category.  Last year Junior Concert Band achieved a Gold Award and were nationally one of just three Junior bands who were invited to take part in the final on Saturday 9th April at the RNCM where they achieved another gold award.
