10 March 2017

Archbishop Temple’s Under 14 Girls’ Football Team reached the County Football Final on Tuesday 7th March 2017 after a hard fought 2-1 win over Clitheroe Royal Grammar School. The girls worked magnificently well as a team all doing their jobs well. They went behind 0-1 and came up against a fantastic defence and goalkeeper. They showed determination and perseverance to finally score with two fantastic goals. First from Menna Shirras lifting it over the keeper and secondly Lauren Tunstall with an exceptional finish into the far corner over the keeper.  The girls will now play in the County Football Final joining both the Year 7 boys and Year 7 girls. Well done team!
