On Monday 22nd January 2018 we were delighted to welcome year 5 pupils from Fulwood St Peter's C of E Primary School to Archbishop Temple School.

The children took part in an art and a music workshop, in preparation for a Winter Concert in the evening. They spent the morning with Mr Rabin Joseph, Percussion Teacher, creating captivating rhythms and stomping beats in a lively percussion workshop. The children also took part in an art workshop with Mrs A. Smith, Technology Teacher, using coloured cards to create striking repeating pattern designs and decorating an outline of their hand with watercolour pencils. Each child's unique artwork reflected their hobbies and interests. Mrs Smith combined the hands to make a beautiful flower head, which will go on display in the children's classroom.

In the evening everyone took part in Archbishop Temple's Winter Concert. The concert included performances by St Peter's Year 5 singers, Temple Saxes, Archbishop Temple School's Show Choir, Senior Concert Band, Rockband, ATS8 and solos performed by year 7 pupils Edward and Amber. The pupils from Fulwood St Peter's also had the opportunity to show off the beats and rhythms that they had learned during the day with an energetic percussion performance.

It was a joy to work with the pupils from Fulwood St Peter's CofE Primary School, they were all very well behaved and seemed to really enjoy both workshops. Many thanks to everyone involved!
