Some of our most accomplished musicians took centre stage last night at The Headteacher's Invitation Recital.

The black tie event took place in the beautiful surroundings of Samlesbury Hall. After canapés and drinks the audience were invited to sit back, relax and enjoy the talents of our young musicians. During the first half guests were treated to solo performances by year 9 pupil Susanna on marimba, Charlotte from year 10 on alto saxophone, Lewis on trumpet and Head Girl Susanna on alto saxophone. Mrs Gardner, Head of Music, introduced our popular school jazz band, ATS Jazz. They performed rousing pieces such as 'Hit the Road, Jack', and 'Santa Anna'. Head Girl Susanna joined the band performing three beautiful vocal solos, including a rendition of Adele's 'Hello'.

Everyone who attended enjoyed the wonderful evening and it was the perfect showcase for the talented, hard working musicians we have studying here at Archbishop Temple School.

Enjoy ATS Jazz performing 'Lady Marmalade' at The Headteacher's Invitation Recital.
