Archbishop Temple School is delighted to announce that we have been selected by the Department for Education to lead an exciting new development in the teaching of Modern Foreign Languages.

We have been asked to lead a hub of schools in this area to work together to develop excellence in modern languages teaching. We will be looking at ways in which we can share the excellence in our work with other schools, in a way that allows schools all over the country to teach languages as well as we do. Only seven schools in the whole country have been selected for this project.

Thanks to Mrs Siddle (Assistant Headteacher) and Mrs Cairns (Subject Leader for Modern Foreign Languages) for all their hard work in highlighting our work to the Department of Education. The process involved a very gruelling interview in Westminster, and we are delighted that the Department have recognised the excellence of our work in this way.

Mrs Jackson

Headteacher
