It was fantastic to see so many pupils and staff sporting their jeans on Friday, in support of Jeans for Genes Day.
The money raised on Jeans for Genes Day funds the work of the Genetic Disorders UK charity. It provides grants to organisations for projects that aim to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders. There are 500,000 children in the UK with genetic disorders.
Pupils and staff raised over £630 for the charity, £200 more than last year, which is a fantastic achievement.
"I am thrilled with the support from pupils and staff," said Miss Catterall, Head of IT and Computing, and organiser of the event.
"There has been a tremendous amount of participation, raising a record amount of money for the Genetic Disorders UK charity. This money will help children and families who suffer from genetic disorders."
