Over the past months we have been furiously fundraising for a new school fitness suite. Our PTA Quiz Night raised over £1500 to go towards funding the refurbishment and we also had a signed Manchester United football up for grabs.

To be in with a chance of winning the ball, signed by Manchester United's first team, pupils were able to buy £1 raffle tickets during form and break times. Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba are just some of the footballer’s autographs detailed on the football in black marker pen.

Miss Dean, Head of Durham House, organised the raffle and drew the winning ticket today. The winner was announced as Eva in year 7, however it was later revealed that Eva had purchased tickets on behalf of her friend Aaminah, also in year 7, as Aaminah thought that she wouldn't have time to buy them and didn't want to miss the raffle. So congratulations to Aaminah and thank-you to Eva for being such a kind friend. Pupils and staff can watch Miss Dean drawing the winning ticket on the Morning Report on Monday.

Durham House have also been holding a cake sale all week, to help raise further funds. The total amount raised, from the raffle tickets and cake sale is £301. So thank-you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket and a cake!

Thank-you to Manchester United Foundation for donating the signed football.
