Archbishop Temple School Pupils Achieve 1st Place In Mangahigh’s National Mathematics Competition

From Monday 9th November to Saturday 14th November 2020, pupils in years 7 - 10 at Archbishop Temple School took part in ‘M-Fluencers maths week quest England competition’, a national competition which was run by games learning platform Mangahigh.

Pupils had to play a variety of maths games to improve their mental maths/subject knowledge and win points, which turned into medals. The Mathematics Department are proud to announce that Archbishop Temple School came 1st and won a £500 Amazon voucher, which will be shared between the following winners; Best in Class and pupils who achieved over 100 medal points. Prizes claimed by students so far include pens/markers, reading books, a jumper, mouse mat, led lights, chocolate, and a stardust dragon to name a few.

A big thank you to Mrs Roden for taking and placing orders over several weeks. Mrs Roden also used the Amazon voucher to improve the Mathematics Department’s puzzle box. We now have some new, challenging puzzles and many hands-on activities. We look forward to sharing these with you in the future.  Any pupil achieving over 150 points will receive a certificate.
