14 August 2021

I am absolutely delighted with the GCSE results our class of 2021 has received this year. Once again, our young people have shown that hard work pays off. This is truly a time of celebration for our young people and their families, with many achieving the highest grades possible in a range of subjects and all achieving grades that will see them move on to their chosen next steps. Well done we are all very proud of you!

This has been a very difficult year and our pupils have had to overcome significant changes to how they were assessed. They showed a great deal of perseverance, resilience, and fortitude throughout their time at Archbishop Temple Church of England High School and especially this last year.

Following the cancellation of traditional exams, grades have been awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. The government is not publishing performance data for any schools this year due to the varying impact of the pandemic.

I am looking forward to celebrating with our class of 2021 at the forthcoming school prom.
