DUE TO OUR SCHOOL EXPANSION, we are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher of Physical Education who shares our commitment to educational excellence and social inclusion whilst supporting the leadership of our very successful Physical Education department.
Physical Education is at the centre of school life at Archbishop Temple Church of England High School. We have a highly dedicated, motivated and successful department and supportive SLT with a strong tradition of participation and performance. A key strength of the department is its extensive extracurricular provision, with clubs running every day and teams competing regularly at district, county and national level. These teams regularly compete in both district and county finals. A strong commitment to extracurricular sport is fundamental to the ethos of the department, and staff play a vital role in supporting and developing this programme. Pupils’ attitudes to Physical Education are overwhelmingly positive, reflected in high levels of participation and strong uptake at GCSE PE and Sports Studies.
