Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are reviewing our approach to transition for our September 2021 intake. We will ensure you are provided with all the information you need once your place with us is confirmed. Please continue to check our website for updates.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in September.

The video below has been created with the help of our Year 7 pupils and aims to alleviate any worries or concerns your child may have about starting high school:

My name is Mrs Deluce and I am really looking forward to meeting you in September.

My job is to help you settle into Archbishop Temple School as smoothly as possible and become a happy and confident member of our school community. I expect that you will be feeling very excited about the opportunity to experience new subjects, new activities and make new friends. Your teachers can’t wait to welcome you and help you achieve your full potential. You may also be feeling a little nervous as you prepare to move schools. This is absolutely normal, but once you join us you will soon become familiar with your new surroundings and you will find all the teachers and older pupils to be very friendly and welcoming.

Although the transition process has had to be a little different this year, the first day in September is fully devoted to our Year 7 students and will give you time to get to know our school buildings, each other and key members of staff.

If your parents have any questions that have not been answered in this section of the website, they should not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to answer them k.deluce@archbishoptemple.com. We are delighted that you will be joining us in September and can’t wait for you to start the next stage of your education at Archbishop Temple School.

Important Documentation

Please take time to look through these documents. They contain a lot of important information you will need before your child starts with us in September.

Starting at Archbishop Temple School - Important Documentation

Following consultation with parents and carers, Governors met to review all of the comments and decided to proceed with the proposed change to the school day from September 2020. The details are outlined in the document below.

These changes will now be finalised with the school bus providers. Despite the change to the structure of the school day, we will continue to be open from 7am to 4.30pm each day. (Our school library will be supervised from 2.45pm to 4.30pm from Monday to Thursday every week during term time.)
