The Year 10 Geographers visited the beach at Cleveleys to conduct a physical geography fieldwork investigation. The pupils were looking at the effectiveness of the coastal management strategies which have been constructed along the sea front to protect the town from the effects of flooding and erosion. The pupils then visited Blackpool town centre to undertake some human geography fieldwork. They were assessing the impact of the urban regeneration that has taken place in the town. The day concluded with a visit to see the impact of the stabilisation of the sand dunes at St. Annes.
