Pupils in year 8 enjoyed a fun session in the library today with Mrs Jimenez, Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, and Mrs Rigg, school Librarian, reading books in Spanish and French.
"The Modern Foreign Languages team has been working with Mrs Rigg this year to promote reading in other languages," said Mrs Jimenez. "We have a selection of French and Spanish books for the pupils to borrow from the school library."
Pupils enjoyed reading the books, all pupils recognised words and many were able to translate full sentences. Mrs Jimenez, a native speaker of Spanish, and Mrs Rigg, a native speaker of French, were on hand to assist with pupils' learning.
