Pupils in year 8 enjoyed a fantastic trip out to Quarry Bank Mill during Tuesday and Wednesday last week. They got to experience what life would have been like for a child worker during the Industrial Revolution and had the opportunity to see the machines that were in use hundreds of years ago and find out about how they worked. This local history study is very important to us here in Lancashire as the Industrial Revolution and the mill systems shaped this part of the country a great deal. Can you spot any old mills in Preston?
