Forty pupils from years 8 and 9 had a fantastic time on the performing arts trip to London last week.

The trip took place over two days, with an overnight stay in London. Pupils had the opportunity to see the award winning musical Disney's Newsies at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, as well as taking part in an inspiring Step by Step dance workshop. The workshop was led by a Newsie's cast member, taking pupils through a dance routine to a song that features in the musical. It was fantastic to see the pupils having such a good time!

Pupils were ready for their evening meal at Pizza Xpress and enjoyed catching up.

The following day, pupils enjoyed their lunch in Cafe Rouge and experienced a once-in-lifetime opportunity to take part in a Song in Performance workshop led by a West End conductor. They also took part in a brilliant Q&A session with a current cast member from the hit musical Hamilton, followed by an exciting opportunity to see Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre in the West End.

Thank you to the Performing Art department for organising such an inspiring trip.
