Last week, it was British Science Week and the science department looked at measuring time with pupils in years 7 and 8 and the scientific advances over the past 60 years. The topic links in nicely with our school’s 60th birthday celebrations which are coming up later this year.
Pupils learned how time has been measured throughout the years and how time is measured now. Pupils were then set a task of creating a timeline detailing advances in biology, chemistry and physics during the last 60 years. Here are some of the timelines created, if you look closely you might even spot when Miss Walsh and Mr McGee were born!
