On Thursday 3rd March 2022, staff and pupils had a lot of fun dressing up for World Book Day 2022. Walking the school corridors were James Bond, Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, Pippi Longstocking, Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, Mary Poppins, Ottoline from the Chris Riddell series, Cruella Deville, two smurfs, characters from Manga graphic novels and many more!
As well as dressing up, there was a fun World Book Day quiz in form and all pupils each received a £1 book token. Throughout the day, pupils were given the opportunity for some silent reading in class. To celebrate reading and World Book Day we are running a Read for Good Readathon. Pupils still have time to sign up, as it will continue to run next week, so please do encourage your son or daughter to take part.
The winners of the World Book Day costume competition will be announced on the Morning Report on Friday morning.
Many thanks to everyone who dressed up and supported World Book Day, take a look at a selection of the costumes in the slides below.
