Yesterday, we popped in to watch Ruby and the Eights rehearsing in the school music block. The band formed just under a year ago and rehearse under the guidance of Mr J. Alston, Teacher of Mathematics, every Tuesday lunchtime. The band's first performance was last summer, when many of the members were still in year 7. They went on stage to perform two tracks from hit musical School of Rock at a school summer concert. Since then they have performed at the Christmas Concert and hope to perform again in May.
Yesterday was the first time they had got together after a three week break and they still sounded fantastic. We look forward to seeing them on stage again soon!
