Last week, Year 7 were very lucky to hear Tom Palmer talk about After the War – the book that pupils read over summer as their transition read. We heard about Tom’s real-life inspiration for the book, how to become an author, and Tom’s other books with lot of different topics. It was fantastic to hear all of the amazing questions from our pupils.
Afterward, pupils were given the chance to have their book signed by Tom. A particular well done to Jamie in Year 7 with his absolutely brilliant drawing.
It is wonderful to see the hard work that our pupils have put into their summer booklets. Prizes, Light points and certificates will be given out later this week!
